- First responders warn locals about the dangerous stretch of FM 1413 that is close to Nameless Road near Leander. A woman recently drove into a guardrail and fell about 16 feet into a creek bed while driving on FM 1431 on May 5. She crawled out two days later, on May 7, and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (KXAN)
- James Christopher Ochoa, who has been charged with murder for allegedly shooting his girlfriend in the head on Mother's Day, is claiming self-defense. His girlfriend, 32-year-old Vicktoria Robles, had filed assault charges against Ochoa in September when she was six weeks pregnant. A Cedar Park police officer interviewed Lorena Ochoa and she said her son showed up at her Cedar Park home around 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning with Robles' one-month-old daughter. Ochoa told his mother that he shot Robles in self-defense after she grabbed a gun. (ABC 13)
- H-E-B now has an H-E-B Wellness Primary Care clinic in Leander, located at 19368 Ronald
