Freeze Warning Issued For Williamson County
The National Weather Service said the freeze warning will be in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday with a low of 30 degrees possible.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Williamson County for Thursday morning.
With sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 possible, meteorologists issued the warning to be in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday. In addition to Williamson County, neighboring Bandera County is also impacted.
"Freeze conditions can harm crops, other sensitive plants and vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing," meteorologists reminded residents. "In addition to covering your plants and pipes remember to bring your outdoor pets in overnight and check on people to make sure they have a warm place to shelter from the cold."

Freezing temps could be possible again on Friday across a large portion of South Central Texas, forecasters warned.
The National Weather Service issued tips to prepared for Thursday morning: "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing."
