Leander ISD Hosts Virtual Convocation Celebrating Teachers, Staff
The community is invited to celebrate the start of the 2020-2021 school year and send positive vibes to LISD teachers, staff and students.
LEANDER, TX — As families prepare for the start of the 2020-2021 school, and schools continue navigating the ever-changing dynamics of COVID-19, the Leander Independent School District (LISD) is infusing positivity into its back-to-school kickoff event. The community is invited to join in on sending out good vibes to LISD teachers, staff and students with its Virtual Convocation 2020-2021.
The virtual event scheduled Friday, August 7 at 8:30 a.m. is an opportunity to spotlight the strength and fortitude of the LISD community, and its continued commitment to its students, teachers and staff. The virtual Convocation celebrates teachers and staff and will include a unique and fun student performance, and the Leander Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) will showcase the recipients of the foundation’s collaborative grants. Superintendent Bruce Gearing, Ed.D will also be featured and participants may watch the Convocation on Friday, August 7 at 8:30 a.m. LIVE on YouTube or Facebook.
