2-Hour Delay For Leander ISD Schools Amid Inclement Weather
A growing list of Central Texas school districts implemented delays due to a forecast of sleet.
LEANDER, TX — Schools that are a part of Leander ISD will have a delayed start on Tuesday, Nov. 12 due to inclement weather. The decision to have the two-hour delayed start was made early Tuesday morning. As of late, Monday, officials had said they would continue monitoring weather conditions to make a final decision.
"Due to inclement weather, Leander ISD schools will have a delayed start Tuesday, Nov 12, 2019," officials wrote on Twitter. "Start times will be, ES 9:45, MS 10:55, HS 10:40. Morning pre-K and morning PSLP are cancelled. We will continue to monitor weather conditions."

Along with Leander ISD, officials at Round Rock ISD also implemented a delay on the district's start time as a safety precaution. Given the possibility of hazardous road conditions early Tuesday morning, district officials by early Monday evening implemented a two-hour delay from normal operations. Other school districts implementing two-hour delays include Blanco ISD, Burnet CISD, Johnson City ISD and Marble Falls ISD. School districts starting operations at 10 a.m. include Doss CCSD, Fredericksburg ISD and Harper ISD.
