  1. A paint spill caused the "shutdown on Hero Way in Leander." Leander Police said that a commercial truck had a significant paint spill on the westbound lanes of Hero Way, which have since been reopened after the cleanup. Police are also reassuring drivers that got paint on their wheels, that the paint is water soluble and can wash off. More details on this story at FOX 7 Austin.
  2. Local business, Tomahawk Targets, has moved from Leander to Liberty Hill. "While the new building is situated on a 1.5-acre tract of land that includes a private residence, customers are still able to inquire about targets as well as place and pick up orders there." To learn more about the reason for the move, visit Community Impact Newspaper.
  3. Leander ISD voted and passed the bond package that totaled almost $800 million. According to superintendent Bruce Gearing, there will be an expected new enrollment of "8500 students over the next ten years," which calls for improvement, expansion, and essentially making more space for the rapid growth expected. As a refresher - Prop A: $698.33 million, Prop B: $50.82 million, Prop C: $13.67 million. (FOX 7 Austin)
