  1. Yesterday, the Leander Fire Department responded to a report of a puppy stuck in a drainpipe. When Engine 4 C Shift rescued the animal, they quickly realized it was a baby raccoon. The firefighters contacted a wild animal re-home organization to pick up the raccoon. (CBS Austin)
  2. St. David's Healthcare was recently ranked number five in the list of best hospitals in Texas for Coronary Intervention. Earlier this year, St. David's Healthcare announced an expansion, including a new hospital in Leander. (Culture Map Austin)
