  1. Hermosa Village Apartments in Leander received first place in the category "Multifamily Developments Up to 3-stories for Rent" in the 2022 National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Best in American Living Award. The Hermosa Village Apartments were completed in 2020 by Cadence McShan and have "238 garden-style units that are designed to resemble farmhouses." Other features include a pool, a community farmhouse, an herb garden, walk-in closets, quartz countertops, private patios, a fitness center, a "bark" park, and more. (Building Design + Construction)
  2. HD Motorsports in Leander changes tires, fine-tunes engines, increases safety performance of cars, fixes wheels and handling, and supports the hobby cars it works on at race tracks. Owner Todd “Therk” Therkildsen said "somebody put it best that we’re a speed shop with a race team. We work on a lot of people’s toys. But it’s only a matter of time before we completely outgrow this space. We are currently looking for something in this community because we like being where we are, and so, we’re looking for another space twice this size." (Community Impact Newspaper)
  3. A new Blo Blow Dry Bar is coming soon to Cedar Park. The owner, Bindhu Isaac, signed her franchise deal in 2020, and due to the pandemic has only just begun to open her stores. She "wants to use her new career as a business owner to inspire women like her and give them a safe space to take care of themselves — body, mind, and soul." (CultureMap Austin)
