Here are the top three stories in Cedar Park-Leander today:

  1. 60-year-old Robert Martin Rodriguez, of Cedar Park, was arrested after nearly colliding with a Carson City Sheriff's Office deputy on motorcycle patrol. Rodriguez was arrested for many alleged felony offenses, including possession of drugs with intent to sell, being an ex-felon in possession of firearms, and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription. He was also arrested for alleged misdemeanor offenses, including using a cell phone while driving, obstructed windshield, failure to yield right of way at a stop sign, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. (Carson Now)
  2. Hannah Wilson, a Cedar Park mother of a 7-year-old daughter and 4-month-old twin boys, has had to drive many hours to find dairy-safe baby formula for her dairy intolerant twins. The Texas Children's Hospital in Houston is sharing information about what to do and what not to do during the baby formula shortage. The experts at the hospital said do not make your own formula, dilute formula, participate in "informal milk sharing," or buy formula online that is not FDA-approved. The experts said you can feed your baby with whole milk with iron fortification temporarily, donate breast milk and pick up breast milk from an official milk bank, and talk to your pediatrician. 3. Cedar Park Police Officer Steph Cash combines her police work and her passion for music to better connect with the community. She said, "Since I'm comfortable on a stage and talking to people, it makes me more comfortable talking to people at work at my day-to-day job too. The fact they [the police department] are wanting us to be out there in the community, engaging with people and sharing with people affords me an opportunity to have a better platform, so to speak."
