  1. Yesterday, Feb. 22, Leander Police arrested Juan C. Hernandez Guillen, 27, for the alleged stabbing of the 25-year-old mother of his child. Juan fled the scene of the crime, 1300 block of Sonny Drive near the intersection of South Bagdad Road and the Leander Public Library, but was found and arrested later that morning. The victim is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. (KXAN)
  2. Hyliion, a hybrid electric truck startup with headquarters in Cedar Park, has over 200 employees, nearly double the amount from last year. But the future of hybrid trucks is up in the air, as most fleets move to fully electric trucks. CEO Thomas Healy believes there will still be “a space for the hybrid.” (FreightWaves)
  3. Cedar Park native, Jared Hart, was named Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Pitcher of the Week after pitching two great games on Friday, Feb. 18 and Sunday, Feb. 20. His "final line for the weekend was 4 IP, 4 H, 0 runs, 6 K, BB, HBP." Head Coach Steve Holm said "that's the Jared Hart that we have come to love." (Illinois State Athletics)
