Here are the top three stories in Cedar Park-Leander today:
- Stefanie Turner, a Leander native, recently started Texas United Against Fentanyl to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl. She said her 19-year-old son, Tucker, took a Percocet last September to help him sleep and he never intended to die that night. His cause of death was fentanyl. She said, "I want parents to know that all of our children are at risk now...it can happen to any family." (KXAN)
- Cedar Park and Leander won big in the the Class 5A Region IV UIL Track Meet. Kevin Adams II, from Cedar Park, won first place in the boys Discus and Shot Put. Leander Glenn HS won first place in the boys 800 relay. Ella Lewis, from Leander Rouse, won first place in the girls Long Jump. Isabel Conde De Frankenberg, from Cedar Park, won first place in the girls 3,200, the 1,600 and the 800. Cedar Park HS won first place in the girls 400 relay. Amani Graham, from Cedar Park, won first place in the girls 100 Hurdles. (Caller Sports)

- The Cedar Park Public Library announced that registration is no longer required for any storytimes! Lapsit, Toddler, and Preschool storytimes will move from Monday to Tuesday mornings starting on May 3. And Outdoor Storytime will be at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesdays. (Facebook)
