Manor Law Firm Celebrates 2nd Anniversary of MLK Statue
Attorney Jeralynn Manor, of The Manor Law Firm, announces the second anniversary of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Statue.
Attorney Jeralynn Manor and The Manor Law Firm PC are celebrating the second anniversary since the unveiling of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Statue at MacGregor Park in Houston. “We are very proud to have helped in the procurement and city regulations for establishing the statue, which honors Dr. King’s legacy and contributions to peace, justice, equality, human dignity and education,” said Manor. “It is only the fourth of its kind in the United States.”
The memorial was commissioned by Dr. King’s father many years ago and the dream finally came to fruition in May of 2014. The Houston Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorialrepresents an elongated effort by the Black Heritage Society’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ovide Duncantell, to recognize, sustain and keep Dr. King’s “Legacy” and “Dream” alive forever.
“The Black Heritage Society is a wonderful organization that exemplifies civil rights and freedom, and The Manor Law Firm PC is honored to provide the society free legal work throughout the year,” said Manor. “We believe it is the legal profession’s obligation and duty to serve the community and service our civil rights leaders who have gone before us and paved the way. We are here because of people like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Ovide Duncantell.”
