  1. Today is National Drug Take Back Day, with many drop-off locations sponsored by the DEA. "The event is done every April and October to promote responsible prescription drug use and to take unused or unwanted pills." Two locations are in Leander and one in Cedar Park.   2. Leander's H-E-B store off Highway 29 has the new brand, "Fresh Bites" convenience store. It will hold "fresh produce; salads, sandwiches and sushi made daily; meat; and cheese snacks."   3. It's bond election time for Leander ISD and many other Texas school districts, with a total of "more than $4B in bonds on the May ballot," and Leander ISD's the highest, $762,820,000. Here are some of the items that will be covered: safety and security upgrades, infrastructure upgrades, new elementary school construction, purchasing of land for future schools, and transportation purchases.
