New DAR Chapter Forming in Cedar Park
Williamson County Growth Prompts Formation of New Chapter Serving Cedar Park and Surrounding Communities

CEDAR PARK, TEXAS – Judy Callaway Ostler, Texas State Regent for the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) announced today that the National Society has approved the organization of a new chapter to be chartered in Cedar Park, to serve Williamson County and neighboring communities. Sally N. Hunt will serve as Organizing Chapter Regent.
“This is a very exciting time to be a part of the DAR. Cedar Park and its neighboring cities – as well as Williamson County as a whole – are experiencing explosive growth. This chapter will be a part of that growth and meet the needs of those already residing in the area, as well as those moving in to the area, who have a desire to honor their heritage while serving their community,” says Hunt.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism. Its members are descended from the patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War. With more than 180,000 members in approximately 3,000 chapters worldwide, DAR is one of the world’s largest and most active service organizations. DAR members are committed to volunteer service having served more than 14 million hours in communities throughout the world during the past three years.
