1. As of Feb. 25, Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, located at 3005 Co Rd 175 in Leander, has a new restroom at the parking area for the Jim Rodgers trail and disc golf course. Parks Director Russell Fishbeck said "we are grateful to voters for approving park bonds to make this facility possible." (Press Release Desk)
2. Harmony Public Schools plans to build its eighth Central Texas public charter school, called Harmony Science Academy Leander at 3250 Hero Way. On Mar. 3, the Leander City Council approved new zoning for the 28-acre development, from single-family rural to local office. The school plans to open for the 2023-24 school year. 3. On Thursday night, Mar. 3, the Cedar Park girls varsity basketball team, the Timberwolves, won 59 to 31 against College Station in the Class 5A State Basketball Tournament Semifinals. Shelby Hayes scored 22 points for Cedar Park. (KBTX)
