The Quarry Splash Pad Opens Saturday
Located in Southwest Williamson County Regional Park in Leander, the pad features fountains, sprinklers, water cannons and a waterfall.
LEANDER, TX —The Quarry Splash Pad is scheduled to open for the season on Saturday, and it will be open this whole weekend, including on Memorial Day.
The Splash Pad is located in Leander's Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, 3005 CR 175, and was built in 2011 in a former quarry, according to Do512Family.com. The park is surrounded by natural rock and features fountains and sprinklers of all shapes and sizes, as well as water cannons, a waterfall, a small slide, mini climbing wall a sandbox, plenty of picnic tables and grassy areas for spreading out a blanket.
Open Wednesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (and Memorial Day and Labor Day), the Splash Pad costs $2 per person, and there are no cash payments, only credit cards.

Southwest Williamson County Regional Park also offers many other activities, like the Cedar Rock Railroad miniature train, according to Wilco.org. The park features 11 soccer fields, two softball fields a football field and stadium with a 400-meter track, eight tennis courts, six basketball courts and a playscape. There also is a network of crushed granite and natural surface hike and bike trails.
To reserve basketball courts, soccer fields, softball fields and the football stadium contact park headquarters at 512-943-1920. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
