Here are the top three stories today in Cedar Park-Leander:
- The Leander Fire Department warned of high-to-extreme fire danger on Sunday, Mar. 27, and a red flag warning was in effect in the greater Austin area due to an increased risk of fire. As hot, dry, and windy conditions continue, fire officials are warning of potential fire dangers. When a red flag warning is in effect, residents are encouraged to avoid barbecuing and lawn mowing and should be mindful when disposing of cigarettes. (KXAN)
- The Thin Asphalt Overlay Project, started on Mar. 24, is giving some Cedar Park streets a fresh layer of asphalt. Construction will be on the Cedar Park One/Carriage Hills subdivisions between Lakeline Boulevard and Bagdad Road, located south of New Hope Drive. The project is funded through annual pavement maintenance funds as well as 2015 voter-approved bonds.(Press Release Desk)
