Thanksgiving Day Fitness Events Offered For Cedar Park Residents

CEDAR PARK, TX — The dinner is preparing, and the families gather to eagerly await one of the most delicious and satisfying meals of the year. But why not try something new this year? • 2019 TRAVISSO TURKEY TROT: The Visso Life Magazine & Events is proud to host the Second Annual Travisso Turkey Trot! Head on over to our neighborhood Palazzo so we can get our Thanksgiving Day started off right! All ages can participate in our fun trot (easy peasy) or in the 5k run (for our more fit turkeys). • CEDAR PARK TURKEY DAY 5K: This is a Family Fun event close to your home and the right distance for you and your family to come out have a great time and make it home in time for Turkey. The 5K course has some moderate hills and some flat portions. The Shake A Leg Mile and Kids Mile takes place inside the stadium Loop Road and is free of vehicles coming and going. • THUNDERCLOUD SUBS TURKEY TROT 2019: This year marks the 29th anniversary of the Subs Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2019. The largest five-mile run in Texas and one of the largest Turkey Trots in the nation with nearly 20,000 participants, ThunderCloud’s Trot is a cherished Thanksgiving Day tradition in Austin.
  ThunderCloud has raised nearly $3.8 million for Caritas of Austin through the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot. We donate 100 percent of the proceeds of the event to Caritas of Austin, a nonprofit organization that provides housing, employment, education, and food services to more than 20,000 homeless, working poor, and documented refugees in Travis County.
