Tree Lighting And Santa's Workshop Planned At Cedar Park

The Dec. 6 event from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Heritage Oak Park, 875 Quest Parkway, will feature snow play area, live music and more.

CEDAR PARK, TX — The day is almost at hand: The Tree Lighting and Santa's Workshop will kick off this Friday.

The Dec. 6 event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Heritage Oak Park, 875 Quest Parkway. The event will feature a snow playing areas, live music performances, games & prizes, yule fire, inflatables, photos with Santa (bring your own camera) and arts & crafts projects. Food concessions will also be available.

Cedar Park Police Department officers will be on hand accepting new and unwrapped gifts for Blue Santa. Admission is free. For additional information, email hailey.harp@cedarparktexas.gov.

The winners of the Holiday Oak Coloring contest will be unveiled. Entries from kindergartners and first graders received by the Nov. 25 deadline will be selected from among the many entries, with the first-prize winner tapped to pull the switch that lights the real oak tree that serves as the event's centerpiece.
