🌱 Two Deadly Crashes In Leander + LISD Approves Teacher Pay Raise

Here are the top three stories in Cedar Park-Leander today:

  1. Early Saturday morning, the Leander Police Department reported two separate deadly crashes about an hour apart and both were near East San Gabriel Parkway. At the intersection of 183A Toll Road northbound and East San Gabriel Parkway, a two-vehicle crash led to the death of one person and injured four others. LPD said the cause of the crash is under investigation and no arrests have been made. The second crash was on US 183 north of East San Gabriel Parkway. It was a single-vehicle crash and the only person in the car died. LPD said this crash is also under investigation. (KXAN)
  2. The Leander Independent School District (LISD) board of trustees approved a compensation plan that will give teachers a five percent pay raise for the next school year. The board also approved a minimum pay rate of $15 hourly for all positions. (KVUE)
