Virtual Event Discusses Health Insurance Coverage Amid COVID-19
Understanding Health Insurance Coverage for COVID-19 is a virtual discussion offering literacy insight on diagnostics and treatments.
CEDAR PARK, TX — As the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact communities around the country, it's important to be proactive and become informed when it comes to understanding health insurance coverage for COVID-19. The Center for Medical Humanities and Ethics will host an online discussion on how to better understand your insurance coverage and how it applies to COVID-19 related doctor and emergency room visits and treatments.
The virtual event scheduled for Wednesday, July 15 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. CDT will highlight how to navigate the health insurance coverage landscape in light of the pandemic, including testing diagnosis and treatment. The training is designed for promoting COVID-19 related health insurance literacy for providers, community health workers, and health professional students. Access Care Texas is a Community Service Learning organization at UT Health San Antonio with a goal of helping improve health insurance literacy.
