Here are the top three stories today in Cedar Park-Leander:

  1. Voters will decide whether the Leander Capital Metro train stop, the only Austin suburb with a train stop, will continue or shut down in the May election. If the voters decide to shut down the train stop, the one percent sales tax that goes to the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority would be used for economic development or other improvements to the city. The voters must decide what is more important: transit or the other needs of the growing city. (Austin Business Journal)
  2. Williamson County is hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, Apr. 6, to discuss the Atlas 14 Floodplain Mapping Study. Due to severe flooding, the Texas Water Development Board is funding the Atlas 14 Floodplain Mapping Study and will update rainfall data, map streams, and waterways, and identify where flood risks are located in the county. At the meeting, county residents will learn more about the study, speak with team members, and voice concerns about flooding in their area. (Press Release Desk)
  3. Crumbl Cookies opened in Cedar Park on Mar. 24. It is located in the 1890 Ranch shopping center. Go treat yourself this weekend to some delicious cookie varieties! (Community Impact)
