Here are the top three stories today in Cedar Park-Leander:

  1. The City of Round Rock reported that four leaks in the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant are causing about 2 million gallons of extra water to flow into Brushy Creek. This exceeds the amount of water the plant can treat, causing untreated sewage to be dumped into the creek. Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, and Austin all contribute to the treatment plant. While crews are working on fixing the leaks, Cedar Park Wastewater Treatment Plant will help by treating an additional 200,000 gallons of water a day. (KXAN)
  2. Round Rock Donuts recently opened a new store at 1614 E. Whitestone Blvd. in Cedar Park. Round Rock Donuts serves its famous orange donuts, pastries, and kolaches from 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day. (Austin 360)
  3. Meet Plum, a small male kitten looking for a home, and so many more adorable pets. Patch and Petfinder created a new list of adoptable pets in the Cedar Park-Leander area. (Cedar Park-Leander Patch)
