Way Off Broadway Players Present Original Christmas Melodrama
Merry Christmas, Jolene is an original holiday play by local playwright Jennifer Luster that is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
LEANDER, TX — Winding down the year and looking forward to celebrations ahead are what the holidays are about. Why not make your Christmas a little more special? Come out to support the Way Off Broadway Community Players and their World Premier Christmas Special: Merry Christmas Jolene, written by talented local playwright Jennifer Luster and directed by Melinda Szabo. The original holiday melodrama follows Jolene, as she braves a lonely Christmas in Brand Prairie, TX. Unlucky in love, Jolene navigates the holidays with some family drama and some unexpected surprises.
Ahead of the start of the performance, there will be a "holiday hoedown" in the theater lobby decked out in festive decorations and featuring holiday treats for audiences to enjoy.
