Whitestone Boulevard To Close Aug. 17-19 For Cap Metro Work

CEDAR PARK, TX — Whitestone Boulevard will be closed in mid-August as a contractor crew for Capital Metro works on the railroad crossing there, officials said this week.

As a result of the work, Whitestone Boulevard (RM 1431) will be closed from Saturday, Aug. 17, at 4 a.m. to Monday, Aug. 19, at 4 a.m. As part of this project all lanes of Whitestone Boulevard will be closed to through traffic from Discovery Boulevard to Bell Boulevard (US 183). Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane starting at Discovery Blvd. then will U-turn to provide access to businesses.

Other traffic will be detoured, officials noted, urging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
