WilCo Road Linking To CR 176, RM 2243 To Be Built

Officials describe project's scope as involving reconstruction and widening of CR 176 from RM 2243 to Parkside Parkway.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County will stage a groundbreaking ceremony for a new road project to realign the intersection of CR 176 with RM 2243 on Friday, officials said.

In an email, officials described the project's scope as involving reconstruction and widening of CR 176 from RM 2243 to Parkside Parkway. The design engineer is WSB, and Joe Bland Construction is the contractor, officials noted. Environmental work of the project is being conducted by SWCA, county officials added.

Construction is expected to be completed by spring 2020. The project is being funded with voter approved road bonds for a cost of $2,447,500, officials said.

WHERE: The site of the groundbreaking has been changed to CR 176 on RM 2243, Georgetown, TX 78628 — just west of the 5 Star Boat & RV Storage.

WHO: Precinct 3 Williamson County Commissioner Valerie Covey is scheduled to join other officials at the groundbreaking event.
