WilCo Taps Pennington To Key Adult Probation Role
Jameson Pennington was appointed director of Williamson County Community Supervision and Corrections Department by a board of judges.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The Board of Judges of the Williamson County Courts on Wednesday announced the appointment of Jameson Pennington as the new director of Williamson County Community Supervision and Corrections Department (Adult Probation), officials said.
“We are excited to promote Jameson into the CSCD Director position,” Judge Stacey Mathews of the 277th District Court said in a prepared statement. “He brings a wealth of experience in the adult probation field, a perspective that is informed by best practices, and a commitment to service.”
Prior to this appointment, Pennington served as assistant director since 2018 and since summer 2020 has served as interim director after the retirement of longtime CSCD Director Steve Morrison.

“I am grateful for the support of the judges in this new role,” Pennington said. "And I’m proud to have the opportunity to serve the people of Williamson County alongside the great team we have at CSCD.”
Pennington began his career in public service in 2004 working for law enforcement agencies and is an active member of the Texas Probation Association and Texas Corrections Association. He earned a master’s degree in criminal justice management and leadership from Sam Houston State University and an undergraduate degree from Texas State University.
