- Williamson County is hosting a career fair on Thursday, March 3, from noon to 6 p.m. to help job seekers find a meaningful career working to in the community. The career fair will take place at the Williamson County Georgetown Annex, located at 100 Wilco Way in Georgetown. (Press Release Desk)
- After impersonating an FBI agent in 2019, a Cedar Park man has been sentenced to a year in prison. Johnathan Jefferson Ferris, 52, was convicted last June on two counts of impersonating a federal agent after evidence presented during the trial revealed Ferris entered a Temple pharmacy looking to fill an out-of-state prescription for fentanyl patches on multiple occasions in July and August in 2019. - On Monday, the Chaparral Ice and Field in Cedar Park facility was repossessed, according to the owners. In a letter on the skating rink’s website, owners said they were “shocked and devastated” when their bank made the loan balance due immediately and they received a lease termination from landlords on the same day. The ice rink will now be operated by a new entity, according to a statement from Crossover management. (KXAN.com)
