Accused Serial Drugstore Robber Arrested After Chase: Police

Patrick Glavin, 40, is accused of committing several robberies in the Houston area, police said.

CONROE, TEXAS – A man accused of robbing a CVS store and leading police on a short high-speed chase early Tuesday, was wanted for committing similar robberies in the Houston area, police said. Police arrested Patrick Glavin, 40, after a pursuit along Interstate 45 that ended in Conroe.

Police were called to the CVS store in the 900 block of West Davis, at 3 a.m. for a robbery in progress. A witness said Glavin went to the back of the store and handed the pharmacist a note demanding narcotics.

Police said the pharmacist gave him what he wanted and alerted employees in the front of the store Glavin was leaving. The employees provided police with a description of Glavin and the white Chevrolet Impala he was driving, police said.

Investigators said Glavin is believed to have committed at least five armed robberies of CVS and Walgreens stores in Montgomery County. He was wanted for other robberies in Harris and Liberty counties, police said.

Police said Glavin, who is being held on bonds totaling nearly $1 million and is charged with robbery, evading arrest, tampering with physical evidence and had an outstanding out-of-state warrant for robbery
