Conroe Launches Amnesty Program Ahead Of Warrant Round Up

Avoid the embarrassment of being arrested at work, at home, or at your kid's baseball game, and take care of those warrants and fines.

CONROE, TEXAS — If you’re one of those who’s dreading a knock at the door from someone wearing a badge, then maybe it’s time you took care of that outstanding warrant or fine. Just so you know, the amnesty period for those pesky warrants started on Monday, giving people until Oct. 4 to take care of those misdemeanor warrants and fines before they find themselves in front of a municipal court judge.

Anyone with a current City of Conroe warrant can make arrangements and potentially save on court fees during this period if the balance is paid in full. Otherwise, payment arrangements can be made with the court to avoid arrest.

People with outstanding fines or warrants can expect a phone call or some type of notification from the city, officials said. So instead of ignoring that notification and getting potentially being embarrassed with a very public arrest, city officials are asking those with warrants or fines to take care of it during the amnesty period.
