Conroe Man Charged With Compelling Prostitution: Police

Donald Bland was arrested after a months-long investigation revealed he was forcing 2 young girls into prostitution, police said.

CONROE, TX — A man who police investigators said forced two teenage girls into prostitution was arrested and and is charged with one county of compelling prostitution. Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Donald Bland on Sept. 21 at his home in the 500 block of Hickerson Street, according to a press release from Lt. Scott Spencer.

Officials said they launched an investigation several months ago after they were told by witnesses that Bland was forcing juvenile girls into prostitution.

Investigators conducted surveillance on Bland and gathered enough evidence for an arrest warrant, according to a press release.

“Our investigators did a phenomenal job in the case,” said Lt. Tim Cannon, who leads the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Unit. “Unfortunately, these girls were forced to experience and engage in behaviors that no child should ever be exposed to.”

Bland is being held in the Montgomery County Jail with his bond is set at $100,000.
