Conroe Police Officer Is Injured During Traffic Stop

A Conroe Police officer was injured after his police cruiser was rear-ended on I-45 north Wednesday morning.

CONROE, TX — A Conroe police officer was injured after an SUV slammed into the rear of his patrol car early Wednesday.

The crash happened shortly after midnight on Interstate 45 north, near Texas 105 and Wilson Road.

Investigators said the officer was working traffic control when a Hummer SUV traveling northbound, slammed into the back of the patrol car, pushing the patrol car about 100 yards, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.

The officer suffered cuts to his arm, while the driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Charges have not been filed against the driver of the SUV.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
