Constable Arrested For Harassing Ex-Fiance: Reports
Liberty County Constable Justin Johnston could lose his badge after his arrest for harassment, a Class B misdemeanor.

CONROE, TX – Liberty County Pct. 1 Constable Justin Johnston could potentially lose his badge after he was arrested on Thursday and charged with harassing his ex-fiance with unwanted emails and text messages, officials said. Johnston, 41, was held in the Montgomery County Jail, charged with a Class B misdemeanor, and later released on $1,500 bail.
Investigators with the Texas Rangers said the ex-fiance told them that she’d ended a two and a half year relationship with Johnston in April, and met with him in early May to return his engagement ring. The woman told investigators that when she gave him his engagement ring, she also asked him to stop contacting her and that he agreed.
According to investigators, Johnston agreement with his former love only lasted a few weeks. The woman told investigators on May 21, Johnston sent her 14 text messages and emails over a span of about two hours.

The woman told investigators she blocked his phone number but Johnston allegedly was able to send her messages from multiple phone numbers and iCloud accounts. On May 25, Johnston allegedly sent the woman a revealing photo of herself and demanded that she respond to his text or emails.
Several days later, Johnston sent her three audio messages asking her not to file charges, and admitting that what he was doing was wrong, according to investigators.

The woman sent Johnston an email in June telling him she didn’t want any contact with him, and to stop bothering her, investigators said. According to court documents, Johnston continued sending text messages and emails. On June 20 Johnston contacted the woman’s ex-husband through Facebook.
"I just spent 2.5 years with your ex-wife. I grew to Love your kids. If I were you, I'd want to know about some stuff going on over there," Johnston wrote to her ex-husband.
The woman said she continually felt threatened by Johnston and called the police. Investigators met with Johnston, who admitted to contacting his ex-fiance and agreed to stop bothering her.
Johnston began sending messages again in August and also began tracking his ex-fiance's movements, officials said. The woman told police that she was alerted on a social media site that he had viewed her profile nearly 80 times over an eight-hour period.
Johnston continued sending text messages and emails through the Labor Day weekend, officials said.
Texas Rangers arrested Johnston two days later and he was charged with a Class B misdemeanor for harassment. Johnston previously worked as a Liberty County Sheriff's deputy before he being elected Precinct 1 Constable in 2016.
