Constables Find Elderly Man Floating In Lake Conroe

Investigators are trying to determine how 84-year-old Leo Tullier died. He was found floating face down in Lake Conroe Tuesday evening.

LAKE CONROE, TX — Montgomery County deputy constables are investigating the death of a man found floating near the area of East Beach on Lake Conroe. Officials recovered the body of 84-year-old Spring resident Leo Tullier at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Residents in the White Oak Subdivision told investigators that they’d seen Tullier anchoring his pontoon boat earlier in the day and has also seen him in the water.

Shortly after 4 p.m., a resident saw Tullier floating face down in the water and tried several times to get his attention before calling deputy constables.

Tullier was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have ordered an autopsy to determine how he died.
