Man Killed After Jumping From Ambulance On I-45
A man who fought with paramedics en route to the hospital jumped from an ambulance onto the freeway and was killed: Police.

CONROE, TX — A man who was being taken to Conroe Regional Medical Center in an ambulance was killed when he jumped into oncoming traffic on Interstate 45.
The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Monday. Paramedics said they were taking the man to the hospital, when he began fighting them.
According to a KTRK report, the paramedics pulled over to try and calm him down and avoid a crash when he suddenly jumped from the ambulance.

The man ran into southbound traffic, but paramedics were able to wrestle him out of traffic.

As they were tryng to get the man back in the ambulance, he broke free and jumped over the concrete barrier into the path of northbound traffic and was hit by two cars. The man died at the scene.
The man's body was taken to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for an autopsy.
The main lanes of I-45 north were closed until 1:30 a.m. while police conducted their investigation.
Officials said the man may have been intoxicated, but didn't say why he was being taken to the hospital.
His identity has not been released.
