Montgomery County Players Drafted Into MLB
The Big Show: Oak Ridge's Luken Baker and Magnolia's Jordan Groshans were among the players drafted to play pro baseball Monday night

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — Two Montgomery County native sons saw their dreams come true when both were selected in the Major League Baseball draft Monday night.
Magnolia High School shortstop Jordan Groshans was taken 12th overall by the Toronto Blue Jays, while Luken Baker, a 2015 Oak Ridge High School graduate, and a junior at Texas Christian University was chosen 75th overall by the St. Louis Cardinals.
Groshans, who is listed at 6-feet-4 and 180 pounds, has also played 3rd base at Magnolia High School.

Groshans is committed to play alongside his brother Jaxx at th University of Kansas, but that is likely to change.

Baker, who is regarded as a power hitter, is listed at listed 6-foot-4, 265 pounds and started 31 games in his junior season at TCU before he was injured, according to a Houston Chronicle report.
