Lawsuit, ethics complaint challenge results of Conroe charter amendment election (houstonchronicle.com) — Conroe’s recent charter amendment election is facing both a lawsuit and a Texas Ethics Commission complaint over how the city promoted the propositions online. A former city development official is challenging the legality of the campaign and tougher new recall rules, while the city has set aside up to $150,000 for its legal defense and awaits a February ethics hearing.

Habitat for Humanity celebrates Next Community in Magnolia with Foundation Ceremony (hellowoodlands.com) — Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County is wrapping up its 129-home Cedar Creek neighborhood in Conroe while launching a new 200-home community, Marble Creek, in Magnolia. December 16, 2025: Days Gone By (republicanherald.com) — A “Days Gone By” feature looks back at community moments from 1925 to 2000, including a local couple’s memories of a Republican Lincoln dinner held years ago in Conroe. Their prized photo shows George H.W. Bush at the event, alongside recollections of also meeting Laura Bush during that politically active period.
