• Failed sale forces comfort food chain to shut its doors (thestreet.com) — Coppell residents are losing The Biscuit Bar as the comfort‑food chain shuts all six Texas locations following a failed sale during Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The article explains the founders’ backstory, the financial pressures on the small chain, and how unsupportive landlords and stakeholders helped push the company to close just days before Christmas. 
• DFW biscuit restaurant shutters all locations, including one in Stockyards (star-telegram.com) — Coppell’s Biscuit Bar location has permanently closed along with five others across Texas after the owners’ Chapter 11 restructuring and planned sale fell through. The shutdown, blamed partly on uncooperative landlords, leaves more than 100 employees jobless just before the holidays, and the owners have launched a GoFundMe to help pay staff their earned wages.
