Here are the top three stories in Corpus Christi today:
- The Corpus Christi Marina Arts District is hosting Mural Fest for the second year, featuring five new murals by artists from around the country. The festival will take place from Jun. 2 to Jun. 3, offering art walks, block parties, live music, and food vendors. On the second day, the Summer Kick-off Party will showcase a newly designed pop-up park with a ground mural, a tiki bar, live performances, and opportunities for community members to volunteer and get involved. (News 3)
- On Monday night, a car crashed near Red Dot Pier on Highway 358 westbound, sending it airborne and over a bridge into the Humble Channel. The driver of the submerged car was rescued by a fire department boat and taken to the hospital. The following morning, the car was successfully retrieved from the water by the Nueces County ESD2 and Corpus Christi Police Department Dive Team. (News 3)
- The Port of Corpus Christi Authority has appointed Kent Britton, the Financial Controller/Chief Financial Officer, as the interim CEO following the resignation of Sean Strawbridge. Britton, who has extensive experience in accounting and administration, will hold the position temporarily while a search is conducted for a permanent replacement. (KRIS-TV)

- The Corpus Christi Ice Rays dance team is looking for dancers! Jennifer Scott, the Director of the Ice Girls, announced that tryouts for the team will take place on Jun. 10. You can sign up here. (KRIS-TV)
- Meet Macarena — the Pet of the Week! This sweet girl is three years old and is looking for a family with a big yard where she can run and play. She is currently a part of the Corpus Christi Animal Care Services playgroup program and she is doing great! Stop by Monday through Saturday between 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. to meet Macarena. - On Apr. 13, 1984, Helen Kilgore of Corpus Christi was reported missing by her father. A few days later, Helen's body was discovered over 200 miles away in Meridian, TX. Kilgore's case remains unsolved but is still active. Most recently, her case has been added to Texas's list of the top 13 cold cases. (KNUE-13)
