🌱 Golf Course Sparks Maintenance Complaints + Park Playground Updates

Here are the top three stories today in Corpus Christi:

  1. Corpus Christi community members voiced their concerns regarding the lack of maintenance at the Kings Crossing Golf Course and Country Club during a town hall on Thursday. Resident Sue Hoyt was one of several to express concerns that the lack of upkeep at the facility has resulted in devaluing the residential property nearby. City officials said they will begin citing the owners of the property until lawn, property, and city violations cease. (KRIS 6 News Corpus Christi)
  2. The playground at Cole Park is slated to receive upgrades early next year that would make it more inclusive for community members. The updated park will include a ramped playground for children with assisting equipment such as wheelchairs, as well as shaded structures, new slides, and a "whirlwind" activity.   3. An airline providing direct flights from Corpus Christi to Monterrey, Mexico could be coming in the near future. Monterrey airline officials were reportedly in town last week to visit the Corpus Christi International Airport. Per FAA guidelines, however, the project will be on standby until safety standards have been confirmed to be met. (KIIITV.com)
