- Following an investigation by the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Houston’s Corpus Christi office, a Houston-area man was sentenced to federal prison for smuggling unlawfully present noncitizens in the locked trailer of a shipping truck. The 33-year-old man was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by two years of supervised release. During the court hearing, it was discovered that the smuggled individuals would not be able to exit the vehicle in the event of an accident, furthering his sentence. (ICE)

The restaurant owners believe their building owners refuse to help them with their concerns. (KZTV 10 Corpus Christi)
- On Mother's Day, the Coastal Bend Pregnancy Center is hosting a fundraiser for local families in need. The fundraiser will donate diapers and baby wipes to mothers in the Corpus Christi area.
