- Police are investigating the case of a young person found with serious injuries at a home along the 3800 block of Pennine Way. Early in the morning Friday — around 3:09 a.m. — a neighbor getting ready for work came outside, found the juvenile, and called the police. Officers and first responders arrived shortly afterward and took the person to the hospital. As of Friday afternoon, the person's condition is unknown, and detectives are canvassing the area. - Police in nearby Aransas Pass are investigating a string of fiber and copper line theft incidents involving Frontier infrastructure. Authorities say that approximately 900 feet of fiber optic line was cut and damaged, with approximately 616.7 feet of copper strand stolen. As a whole, the thefts are believed to have cost Frontier in the ballpark of $60,000 to $70,000 to replace the stolen cable and make repairs. Police believe that thieves are climbing poles to cut wires down late at night, and they may be driving a 2006-2013 white GMC Sierra. Anyone who may have more information is asked to call the Aransas Pass PD at (361) 758-8477 or submit tips online at the link. (KRIS 6 News Corpus Christi)
