  1. The City of Corpus Christi has announced several street closures and traffic impacts that will affect motorists and pedestrians in the area. These closures are due to various reasons such as construction, special events, and road maintenance. The city advises drivers to follow posted speed limits, pay attention to signs and flaggers, and allow extra travel time for possible delays. The closures are subject to change depending on weather conditions and emergency work. (KRIS 6 News Corpus Christi)
  2. A Corpus Christi woman died in a car crash after failing to stop at a stop sign and colliding with another vehicle. The incident occurred just south of Robstown, Texas. The woman, who was driving a Jeep, disregarded the stop sign and hit a Chrysler SUV on its left side. The 24-year-old driver of the Jeep, identified as Emily Marie Chavana, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash. 3. Corpus Christi International Airport is considering partnering with the car-sharing company Turo to offer more car rental options to passengers. Turo is a peer-to-peer car-sharing app that allows private car owners to rent out their vehicles. The airport sees this partnership as an opportunity to expand tourist interest and provide more innovation in the city. However, there is a pending lawsuit against Turo filed by Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, which could impact its operations. Corpus Christi International Airport is currently in the research process and will seek authorization from the city council before moving forward with Turo. (KRIS 6 News Corpus Christi)
