• North Crowley head football coach Ray Gates leaving for opportunity at UNT (wfaa.com) — North Crowley High School’s head football coach, Ray Gates, is leaving the Panthers after a historic run that included a 16-0 season and a 6A Division I state title, to take a job at the University of North Texas. He thanked the North Crowley community, players, and supporters, stressing that the program’s culture and foundation remain strong and that the future of Panthers football is bright. 
• Fort Worth Report receives $1.5M grant to expand Tarrant County news (fortworthreport.org) — Crowley readers can expect more local journalism as the Fort Worth Report secures a $1.5 million grant to expand news coverage across Tarrant County, including Crowley. The nonprofit newsroom plans to grow staff, deepen education and nonprofit reporting, and broaden neighborhood-focused coverage through its Vision 2030 campaign, backed by national and local philanthropy.
