- An 18-wheeler burst into flames on Tuesday when it fell from a Dallas-area overpass. The vehicle collided with another vehicle before the fall. The driver of the 18-wheeler died during the crash on U.S. Highway 75. Authorities are currently investigating how the crash occurred. (NBC News)
- The Dallas Stars will start its training camp without Jason Robertson. The young 40-goal scorer will be missing the training camp due to a contract not being agreed upon with the team. He was a second round pick in 2017 and scored 41 goals last season. The team starts its regular season with a game against Nashville on Oct. 13. (NBC DFW)
- The annual State Fair of Texas kicks off on Sep. 30 at Dallas' Fair Park. This year's newest attraction is the Fair Park Coliseum Rodeo. Admission to the event is free with a general admission fair ticket. The 24-day celebration will feature belt-busting delicacies, live musical performances, family-friendly activities, and more.
