Temperatures are expected to reach a scorching 107 degrees. With the added humidity, it could feel like a staggering 112 degrees, dangerously close to record levels.
In addition to the heat warning, an Ozone Action Day has been declared for Thursday, signaling potential health risks for vulnerable individuals. Those with respiratory issues or other sensitivities should refrain from spending extended time outdoors during this period.
While Wednesday morning offered a break from the heat, Thursday morning will provide another short-lived respite from the rising temperatures. But, residents should be prepared for the return of dangerous heat that will persist through the weekend. Due to the continued high temperatures, it is likely that the Excessive Heat Warning will be extended into the weekend.
