Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

1. The Dallas Police Department is currently investigating two separate road rage shootings which occurred along U.S. 175. The two incidents occurred within eight hours of each other on Friday and early Saturday. Rudy Marshall, 59, died at a local hospital from wounds sustained during one of the shootings. A 14-year-old child is currently in critical condition as a result of the other shooting. (NBC DFW)
2. Iconic "Big Tex" returns for the 2022 State Fair of Texas. The gates will officially open on Friday. Guests will hear 55-foot Big Tex's "Howdy Folks!" as they walk through the gates. This year, Big Tex has a new pair of jeans, a new western shirt, and a new pair of boots. (News 4 Antonio)
3. Deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office report human remains found in August are connected to a missing woman. According to the department, the remains were found in the 1700 block of Hash Road. Sydney Palmer, 26, was reported missing in September of 2021. The department is asking anyone with information about Palmer's disappearance to come forward. (WFAA.com)
