Northwestern Mutual-DFW Opens New Office in Downtown Waco
Northwestern Mutual-DFW announced the opening of its new office in the nearly 100-year-old National Lloyds Building in Downtown Waco, further entrenching the firm’s presence in Central Texas. The new office is led by Growth and Development Director Jeff Whitacre, CFP®, a wealth management advisor, Baylor University graduate, and longtime financial professional with Northwestern Mutual. Whitacre oversees talent development, partnerships, and the firm’s presence throughout the region.
The last eight years of NM-DFW's presence in Waco has included philanthropic work, notably this past summer with Shepherd’s Heart, the largest faith-based food pantry in Central Texas. Whitacre’s leadership will be pivotal in steering the Waco office toward even greater community engagement, client success, and cultivating a new generation of advisors.
“I’m honored to have the privilege of leading such a talented team, and the opportunity to grow Northwestern Mutual’s footprint in a place that is near and dear to me,” Whitacre said. “Waco is experiencing incredible momentum with new businesses and new families, and we are eager to help with any financial anxiety that comes from this growth. This new location will allow us to serve Waco more efficiently, expand our team, and help our clients build generational wealth.”
To celebrate, the office hosted an open house, welcoming community members, partners, and clients. The event included networking opportunities and a preview of the firm’s expanded resources, including more offices for new advisors of the firm. Photos from the event are attached and more can be made available upon request.
“I am truly excited about this next chapter for our Waco office and its bright future under Jeff’s leadership,” Chris Cruz, Managing Director of Northwestern Mutual-DFW’s Addison, Allen, and Waco offices, said. “Our commitment to supporting growth and making a positive impact in the marketplace remains as strong as ever. We are deeply committed to enhancing the resources available to Waco residents and building upon the strong, vibrant culture that has been a hallmark of our firm for decades.”
Currently the NM-DFW Waco office has eight financial professionals and office staff. Anyone interested in learning more about the office or opportunities with NM-DFW should go to http://dallas.nm.com or email jeff.whitacre@nm.com.
