  1. The Dallas Police Department is investigating an incident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian. According to the department, the pedestrian was struck by an SUV in the 3800 block of East Illinois Avenue. The vehicle's driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the department. As of Sunday evening, the identity of the victim has not been released. (WFAA.com)
  2. UT Southwestern Medical Center in south Dallas opened this last weekend. The new medical center will greatly reduce the travel time for south Dallas residents in need of medical services. UT Southwestern Medical Center will offer a variety of medical specialties such as cardiology, neurology, and oncology. (Fox 4 News)
  3. Former Dallas Cowboys player Brandon Carr was arrested in Collin County on Thursday. The 36-year-old cornerback was reportedly cited for driving while intoxicated in Allen. Carr was released on the same day on a $1,500 bond. (Sports Illustrated)
