Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:
- A fleeing suspect crashed into South Dallas' Blackjack Pizza location. An individual in the restaurant and the driver were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the incident. The injuries are reportedly not life-threatening. (WFAA.com)
- Tomorrow (Sep. 14) is the start of Hispanic Heritage Month at Dallas' Central Market. The month-long celebration will feature top-rated Hispanic brands at the Texas grocer. Keep an eye out for white corn, pastel de elote, and Mexican wedding cookies. The event ends on Oct. 11. National Hispanic Heritage Month 2022 officially begins on Sep. 15. (CultureMap Dallas)
- Two Dallas area artists have been chosen as finalists in the Jarritos Artist Grant Contest. The Mexican soda company awarded Derrick C. Perkins II and Bran Movay with $1,000 grants.
