• NEWS - Sports complex groundbreaking held; Roberto 'Bob' Chavira legacy honored (830times.com) — Local officials have broken ground on the new Roberto “Bob” Chavira Sports Complex north of Del Rio Middle School, a project meant to give families more safe places to play. County, city and school leaders praised Chavira’s decades of service as coach, council member and mayor, and highlighted federal funding and land donations that made the complex possible for Del Rio’s youth. 
• Quick city council recap of water vote, trash contract and other moves (830times.com) — Del Rio residents will see higher water and sewer rates starting Jan. 1 as city council also advanced plans for a second international bridge and extended the trash collection contract. Council accepted a $2.3 million sidewalk grant, ordered the May 2026 city election, and moved forward on major water line replacement and other infrastructure projects.
